  • Body scan: This exercise involves lying down or sitting comfortably and bringing your attention to each part of your body, starting at the toes and working your way up to the crown of your head. As you focus on each part of the body, take note of any sensations or feelings that arise.
  • Breathing meditation: Sit comfortably and focus your attention on your breath. When your mind wanders, gently bring it back to the sensation of the breath moving in and out of your body.
  • Walking meditation: Take a slow, mindful walk, paying attention to the sensation of your feet on the ground, the sensation of the sun or wind on your skin, the sounds around you, and any other sensory experience.
  • Mindful eating: Take a few bites of your food, and then put your utensils down and focus on the sensation of the food in your mouth, the taste and texture, and the act of swallowing.
